Unlike last year, Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff is happy with the county budget

A year ago, Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff warned that the county’s proposed budget left him $50 million short of what was needed to adequately protect the public. It was a different story this week. Sniff says the budget for the fiscal year starting July 1 is “the best” he’s seen in recent years. And while there’s an $8 million gap between what Sniff requested and what he’s getting, it’s not insurmountable, he said.

Sheriff Stan Sniff appointed Correctional Captain Misha Graves to the rank of Correctional Chief Deputy on April 9, 2018, in Riverside. She fills a vacancy created by an earlier executive retirement. Correctional Chief Misha Graves has 21 years of correctional experience. She joined the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1997. She began her career as a Correctional Deputy working a variety of assignments while assigned to the Robert Presley Detention Center (RPDC).
