Sheriff Leads Off New Deputy Training

July 26, 2017

Sheriff Leads Off New Deputy Training - Sheriff Stan Sniff traveled to the Ben Clark Training Center (BCTC) in Riverside early Friday morning, March 23rd, on the first day of our 6-day new employee sworn orientation for our 14 graduates of the prior evening's Basic Class #203, plus our other recently sworn in pre-service deputies, and their family members. The Sheriff outlines our agency's expectations, official departmental photos are taken, as well any requested family photos. Over the next week, that orientation program continues with training that includes family readiness, autism awareness, tribal cultural awareness, CLETS certification, excited delirium training, use of force and required documentation, agency immigration policy, taser training, pepperball certification, and a number of other topics that aid their transition from civilian life into the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
